Sturm: Ruthless! How Cowboys' commitment to the plan paid dividends vs. Cardinals
There was absolutely nothing easy Monday http://www.steelersprosale.com/jerricho-cotchery-jerseys-c-1_104.html night for the Cowboys' offense. The Cardinals have a strong defense with solid personnel that was not interested in budging an inch against a Dallas team that needed to bounce back.
It was a classic case of the unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. Neither side was willing to give in, and that is what made the matchup fascinating. In the end, the Cowboys accomplished their ultimate goal of leaving with the win, but they expended a lot of energy in doing so and at various points in the proceedings looked frustrated from the issues that were being presented.
Every week in this space, we look at the offense from a number of perspectives. We want to see the raw numbers, the tactics, the commitment to those tactics and the results. We want to see what they were trying to do and how that worked out for them.
And in a game like this, we have to accept the good with the bad. More importantly, we have to understand how it all works together. I think that is the big key here. People want to know why they don't just run the plays that work more often and run less of the plays that don't work. But that isn't football. Football tells us that they are all related. In fact, a play that doesn't work should sometimes be run again right away with one variable changed slightly, as that is all it takes to yield a huge result that wasn't available on the previous play.
So, it tests your resolve. The other side is trying to shut you down and make you scramble for ideas. And sometimes, you need to change how http://www.officialsteelersprosale.com/jacoby-jones-jerseys-c-1_73.html you do things. But last week, I wrote about how disappointed I was that Denver bluffed the Cowboys out of their plan. It wasn't like Denver destroyed the Cowboys' highly touted run game. It was more that they scared the Cowboys out of trying it with any level of commitment and conviction. They stuffed a few runs, so the Cowboys crumpled up the game plan and threw it in the trash. They conceded to Denver that their best idea was not a good one. They did much better in Arizona -- partially aided by the defense giving them time -- of sticking with the plan and allowing the wear and tear of four quarters to help them outlast the Cardinals as the game went on.

Time May Be Now To Shift Focus To Running Game
Is it time for the Pittsburgh Steelers offense to turn http://www.authenticsteelerssales.com/landry-jones-jersey-c-1_28.html its focus once again to the run game?
This would be an easier sell if said run game were more effective through the first five games of the season, of course. Le’Veon Bell is averaging just 3.6 yards per carry so far on 102 carries, gaining 371 yards. In spite of the fact that he is on pace for 326 carries, he is not getting the bang for his buck, actually on pace for under 1200 yards, fewer than what he managed in only 12 games last season.
But the Steelers’ passing game—and specifically the play of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger—is not right now something that can thrive on its own, based on what we have seen, as unfortunate an observation as that may be.
It is the rookie, JuJu Smith-Schuster, who actually seems to be developing into arguably the second-most trustworthy option for the aging quarterback, behind of course Antonio Brown. Smith-Schuster finished yesterday’s game with four receptions for 58 yards, both career-highs, including a 21-yarder and a 14-yard completion on second and 11.
This was supposed to be the most talented group of wide receiver that Roethlisberger has ever played with, including Martavis Bryant, Eli Rogers, Justin Hunter, and Darrius Heyward-Bey also in the mix, but they have not been consistently http://www.divasta.com/thomas-rawls-jersey-c-1_42.html there for them, nor has he been able to consistently deliver them the football.
The issue with the passing game was seemingly the fact that Roethlisberger had run out of reliable targets outside of Brown. Bryant was suspended, Markus Wheaton was on injured reserve, and Sammie Coates busted his hand, so he found himself frequently targeting the likes of Cobi Hamilton.
Enough had become enough, and in the wake of a four-game losing skid, the offense turned the ball over to Bell and the running game for the final 10 games of the year, including the playoffs, until he went down with an injured groin.
But up to that point, the offense had clearly run through Bell as the focal point—not infrequently having more carries than Roethlisberger had completed passes, and sometimes even passes attempted—as the Steelers ran themselves back into relevance, rattling off nine consecutive victories.
The Steelers certainly should not regress into a run-first offense, by any means. After all, the running game has done little to justify that sort of vote of confidence. But until the passing game actually shows that it can be more reliable as a http://www.aescranna.com/tyler-lockett-jersey-c-1_2.html proactive strategy, then it might be wise to put greater emphasis on the ground, which could include the usage of additional running backs.

Pro Football Focus: Steelers defensive line was actually solid against Jaguars
Don’t blame the defensive line.
Though the Steelers gave up 231 http://www.js-lanhui.com/paul-hornung-jersey-c-1_43.html rushing yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday, Pro Football Focus placed three members of the defensive front among the team’s five best performers in the 30-9 loss at Heinz Field.
The stats-centric website that grades players on every snap they play in a given game gave receiver Antonio Brown the Steelers’ top grade at 86.3 out of 100, a nice validation of his 10-reception, 157-yard performance. After that, it was all defensive players, including three linemen led by defensive end Cameron Heyward’s 81.5 grade that PFF explained thusly:
Heyward didn’t record a single stop for the first time in the 2017 season, but that lack of statistical impact doesn’t convey the disruption he caused to the left side of the Jaguars offensive line. Whether stunting or playing straight into his gap, Heyward was hard to contain and played his part in limiting the Jags’ running http://www.packersprosale.com/montravius-adams-jersey-c-1_9.html back to 3.2 yards per carry on runs between the tackles to the left side.
Safety Sean Davis (80.3), defensive tackle Javon Hargrave (79.8) and defensive end Stephon Tuitt (79.3) rounded out the top five.

LOOK: Packers-Cowboys final play almost gave us craziest ending in NFL history
The wildest play in Week 5 didn't result in http://www.officialsteelersprosale.com/joe-greene-jerseys-c-1_66.html a touchdown, but it probably gave everyone in Green Bay a heart attack as Dallas came close to pulling off a miracle on the final play of Sunday's Packers' 35-31 win over the Cowboys.
With just five seconds left to play, the Cowboys had one chance to win, and what happened next was possibly one of the most dramatic non-scoring plays in NFL history. The play consisted of seven laterals, three fumbles, a center stripping a linebacker and went on for roughly 28 seconds of real time before Quinten Rollins ended the circus by jumping on a loose ball at the Packers' 41-yard line.
The play started when Dak Prescott took a shotgun snap from his own 25. After the snap, Prescott immediately threw a pass to Brice Butler, who was standing at the Cowboys' 35. As soon as Butler caught it, he pitched the ball to Ezekiel Elliott, who split through the Packers' defense and ran all the way into Green Bay territory before pitching the ball to Prescott at the Packers' 45-yard line.
At that point, Prescott possibly could've won the game if he had sprinted forward because there was no one between him and the end zone.
Unfortunately for the Cowboys, Prescott never looked down the field after he caught the ball because he was looking for the next person http://www.authenticsteelerssales.com/maurkice-pouncey-jersey-c-1_60.html to lateral it to.
Prescott eventually lateraled it to Butler, who lateraled it to Jason Witten, who threw a lateral that ended up on the turf. Packers linebacker Nick Perry picked up the ball, and at that point, almost everyone in the stadium -- including announcer Joe Buck -- assumed the game was over.

Chiefs, Packers remain top 2 teams in AP Pro32 poll
Kansas City remained the unanimous No. 1 team, receiving all 12 first-place http://www.cmslamp.com/ernie-stautner-jersey-c-2_45.html votes for 384 points Tuesday in balloting by media members who regularly cover the NFL.
The Chiefs beat Houston on Sunday night and will look to stay unbeaten when they host Pittsburgh on Sunday.
"The only question they've left is whether (quarterback) Alex Smith or (running back) Kareem Hunt is the MVP so far," said Pro Football Talk's Charean Williams.
And the Packers are still No. 2 after Aaron Rodgers rallied them past the Cowboys 35-31.
"Tom Brady may be the most accomplished quarterback ever, but is there anyone better to watch than Aaron Rodgers? He was at his magical best -- again -- in a spectacular 35-31 win over the Cowboys," said Newsday's Bob Glauber.
The Philadelphia Eagles jumped four spots to No. 3 after routing Arizona. The Eagles get a quick start on Week 6 when they face Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night.
"(Eagles QB Carson) Wentz is the real deal," said Fox Sports' John Czarnecki.
The Panthers also moved up four spots to No. 5. The two 4-1 teams meet in Charlotte in one of the top matchups of the week.
"Led by a rejuvenated Cam Newton, Carolina has climbed to the top of the NFL's toughest division with a 3-0 road mark and a knack for pulling out close wins," said SB Nation Radio's Ira Kaufman.
Atlanta remained at No. 4 after its bye week and Denver slipped a spot to No. 6 after its week off.
New England inched up one to No. 7 and http://www.steelersprosale.com/deangelo-williams-jerseys-c-1_3.html plays the rival Jets on Sunday in an unexpected matchup of first-place teams in the AFC East.
Seattle moved up six spots to No. 8 after holding off the Los Angeles Rams, who fell one spot to No. 11.
Detroit dropped three places to No. 9 after its comeback attempt fell short in a loss to the Panthers.
The Steelers plummeted seven places to No. 10 after Ben Roethlisberger's career-high five interceptions in a 30-9 loss to Jacksonville.
The Jaguars, alone atop the AFC South at 3-2, jumped 10 places to No. 13.
Minnesota moved six places to No. 12 and will host the Packers on Sunday.

Plea deal might be back in '15 Decatur killing case
DECATUR – A plea bargain for one of the http://www.officialsteelersprosale.com/daimion-stafford-jerseys-c-1_39.html men charged with the robbery and murder of a Decatur woman might be on again.
The lawyer representing Shaitan L. Cook Jr., 18, appeared in a Macon County Circuit Court pre-trial hearing Wednesday and asked for more time to discuss a potential plea deal. Cook is being held in the Macon County Jail.
Defense attorney Philip Tibbs told Judge Thomas E. Griffith that a previous potential deal – that would have seen Cook serve 20 years – was still on the table from the Macon County State's Attorney's Office. In a court hearing Aug. 14, Cook appeared to reject the deal and had said in court he had tried to do his own deal involving pleading to a charge of armed robbery “although I didn't commit murder or robbery,” he told the court.
But without the plea deal, prosecutors had warned he could be looking at a maximum sentence of 100 years if convicted. Tibbs said Wednesday that if Cook decides to change his mind the earlier “offer is still a valid offer to my client.”
Griffith agreed to set the case back for another pretrial hearing Nov. 20.
Cook has so far pleaded not guilty to the robbery http://www.authenticsteelerssales.com/hines-ward-jersey-c-1_19.html and murder of Cesley Taylor, 21, on Sept. 7, 2015. She died from multiple gunshot wounds in her apartment and a roommate, Britney Wilson, was also shot multiple times but survived.

In Season for Youth, Cowboys Must Make Tough Choice on Jaylon Smith
The Dallas Cowboys are in the position they http://www.divasta.com/eddie-lacy-jersey-c-1_52.html are on defense, losing consecutive games by allowing a combined 70 points to the Rams and Packers at home, for a ton of reasons. If Aaron Rodgers is still in your nightmares this morning, the horrifying image of Davante Adams stretching over Jourdan Lewis to win the game is probably at the forefront of your blame on Dallas’ young defense. In a season that was going to be all about the youth Rod Marinelli has on his side of the ball though, an unexpected hindering force has been 2016 second round pick Jaylon Smith.
An amazing story of perseverance and medical achievement, Jaylon Smith isn’t just not helping the Cowboys at MIKE linebacker right now – he is hurting this defense with the amount of snaps he’s seeing despite ineffectiveness against the run and pass.
The reason the Cowboys lack any depth on defense is largely due to the risks they’ve taken in the draft to quickly fix weaknesses at all three levels here. The Jaylon Smith pick itself remains a risk that’s yet to pay off, as he is unfortunately a fraction of the player he was at Notre Dame.
When Smith starred for the Fighting Irish, scouts everywhere could watch his tape and agree on the 6’2″, 233-pound beast’s status as a top-10 prospect. This was thanks to his constant presence defending the run from sideline to sideline, dropping well against the pass, and pressuring the quarterback from the edge.
With a needed bye week prior to their week seven game at the 49ers, the Cowboys should be in position to make the right decision and start a healthy Sean Lee alongside Anthony Hitchens moving forward. Appearing in his first game of the season on Sunday, Hitchens saw 50 snaps while Jaylon played just 33.
If grading each and every play in which this Cowboys defense lined up against Aaron Rodgers, CB Jourdan Lewis and the likes of his teammates http://www.aescranna.com/frank-clark-jersey-c-1_35.html in the secondary, such as safeties Xavier Woods, Byron Jones, and Chidobe Awuzie; actually inspire hope that this unit could come together sooner rather than later.
When objectively watching Jaylon Smith, with the liability he’s created on nearly every down by failing to play through contact and hold the point of attack, the Cowboys are seeing a player that is costing them yards – and games.
Lack of continuity at the linebacker position does nothing to support an already weak defensive line in Dallas, as the strength of this front four is being lessened by these LBs. Especially with David Irving back in the mix, the Cowboys’ interior push at DT and overall ability to play the run up front should be their strength in the front seven.
In Season For Youth, Cowboys Must Make Tough Decision On Jaylon Smith

Kristi Scales, the sideline reporter for http://www.js-lanhui.com/jamaal-williams-jersey-c-1_3.html the Dallas Cowboys radio network, answered your questions about the team during a live chat recently. Here are some highlights.
Question: Why isn't Taco Charlton seeing the field? The young man has been invisible.
Scales: Taco Charlton has three tackles through five games. He's seeing the field as part of a rotation, he's just not making an impact. Entering Sunday's game, he was on the field for 36% of defensive snaps through the first three weeks.
In the box score from Sunday's loss to the Packers, he was not cred with a tackle (the statistic could change when we get results of coaches' film). Even if he gets an assist, it's still a very slow start for a 1st round pick through the first five games of a season.
The team knew they would have to patient with him and develop him, but you need a bigger impact from a 1st-rounder, especially when the biggest question mark for your defense over the past few years has been pass rush.
He's not seeing as much of the field as other rookies in his draft class because he hasn't earned the playing time. It's very simple. Both head coach Jason Garrett and defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli have been blunt when asked about Taco's production. They say they need to see more from him. To which Cowboys Nation adds an "Amen". He needs to show the coaches more to earn additional snaps in the rotation on game day.
Question: In your mind what is the No. 1 concern for this team right now?
Scales: The defense needs takeaways! Three takeaways in five games is not cutting it. So far, there are two interceptions (one each by Anthony Brown & Jourdan Lewis) and one fumble recovery (Maliek Collins). The Cowboys' offense has scored following each of those takeaways (two TDs, one FG), so that's an average of 5.7 points-per-takeaway.
Opponents have five takeaways (four INT, one fumble recovery and two of those interceptions have been returned for touchdowns (Aqib Talib @ Den, Damarious Randall vs GB). Overall, opponents have 30 points following Cowboys' turnovers, so that's an average of six points-per-turnover.
Ask any NFL coach and they'll tell you the statistic that is the biggest indicator of whether a team wins or loses is the turnover ratio. The Cowboys are losing the turnover battle because their defense isn't making enough 'catalytic' plays for takeaways.
Question: Where do you think a Irving-Lawrence duo ranks among the NFC's best pass rushing duo?
Scales: Irving has not shown enough http://www.packersprosale.com/jake-ryan-jersey-c-1_29.html consistency yet (unless he's playing the Packers) to put a Lawrence-Irving "duo" among other established duos in the NFL. When Irving is "on", he's terrific. He can really disrupt the offense. But he needs to do so on a consistent basis. That's not a slam, just a fact. He's got the physical talent and size to be a dominating player, now he needs time and experience and consistency to reach his potential. He's also a fun, engaging young man with a bright future if he can stay the course.
On Cowboys' dead money after release of Nolan Carroll:
Scales: Nolan Carroll will count $2 million in dead money versus the Cowboys' 2017 salary cap when he's released which raises the total amount of dead money to $23.048m this season (source: Spotrac.com).
Carroll is the 5th highest hit on the list behind Tony Romo (10.6m), Cedric Thornton (3.5m), Brandon Carr (2.717m), and Doug Free (2.5m).
Those five former Cowboys also add up to 13.41% of the current 2017 Cowboys' cap.
The total of $23.048 million is high, especially when compared to other teams in the NFC East.
The Eagles are the next-highest in dead money at $17.33 million thanks to a couple of ex-Eagles QBs at the top of their list (Chase Daniel $ 6.1 million, Sam Bradford $ 5.5 million). The Redskins have $10.3 million in dead money this season, and the Giants only $4.07 million.
Question: Do you think Chidobe Awuzie can excel as a safety if Dallas wants Jourdan Lewis to play CB?
Scales: Chido Awuzie practiced at safety leading into the Green Bay game and, before re-aggravating a hamstring injury, was rotating into the game at safety...especially with Kavon Frazier inactive. Awuzie was the primary backup at safety last Sunday, and playing in the sub-packages.
Lewis will continue to play cornerback; the coaches love what he can do in the slot so he'll continue to get tons of playing time. With the impending release of Nolan Carroll, will that mean that Awuzie has to get some practice reps during the week at cornerback so that he can be a backup at both CB and S?
Wherever he plays, the question about Awuzie through the first 5 weeks of the season is his availability. He can't stay healthy enough to get through a game. He's already missed two games and parts of two others. Also, injuries are keeping him from practice and that's good for a rookie's development.
Question: How big a loss is losing http://www.49ersprosale.com/garry-gilliam-jersey-c-1_52.html Charles Tapper? How much do you think this injury sets his career back?
Scales: Charles Tapper has played two games in his first two NFL season, so his career has definitely suffered setbacks because of injuries. In 2016, his rookie season was derailed because of back injury which landed him on Injured Reserve. He was inactive the first three games of 2016 before going on I.R.
This year, it's a broken foot that once again lands him on the injury list. He played the 2017 season opener and recorded one sack and 1 tackle in just 11 snaps. He notched two tackles at Denver in Week 2, but was inactive the next two games. Then he suffers the fracture in his foot during practice.
As for how big a loss is Tapper? It's never good to take a pass rusher out of the rotation, but it's hard to miss what you haven't really had...at least for the early part of his career.

Davante Adams remembers everything from Danny Trevathan hit
Davante Adams was one of the http://www.steelersprosale.com/coty-sensabaugh-jerseys-c-1_90.html heroes in the Green Bay Packers 35-31 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, catching two touchdown passes including the game-winner. But what's amazing is how he was able to play after he suffered a huge helmet-to-helmet hit from Chicago Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan over a week ago.
After the game against the Cowboys, Adams spoke to the media about the hit and he said he remembers everything about it.
"I had a brief moment where I was a little loopy out there and didn't really remember things until I got into the hospital and things started coming back to me, and I felt good," Adams said per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. "No headaches or anything throughout the week and I obviously felt like I was able to come out and perform at a high level."
Adams then went on to say that Trevathan apologized and the two talked via text messages last week. He also believes the Bears linebacker shouldn't be considered a dirty player but he also said the hit was not needed.
The Packers have won three games in a row and they will now face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Make sure you’re in the loop – take five seconds to Sign up for our FREE Packers newsletter now!
"I wouldn't say he's a dirty player at all," Adams said to Demovsky. "Over the week you hear a lot about different people's inputs. It's definitely unnecessary. You don't want those type of hits in the game. He's not that type of guy. It was a http://www.officialsteelersprosale.com/daimion-stafford-jerseys-c-1_39.html mistake and I guess that's why they allowed him to appeal."
Trevathan was originally suspended for two games, but he was able to get it down to one as he won his appeal. Trevathan did not get fined for the hit.

SANTA CLARA — Two undeniable truths http://www.authenticsteelerssales.com/franco-harris-jersey-c-1_42.html shape the 49ers’ Week 6 matchup in Washington: The team is 0-5 and is set to play Kirk Cousins, the quarterback most connected to the rebuilding efforts under way in the South Bay.
Cousins is set to be a free agent after this season. He’s excited about it, too. The Niners will be flush with cap space, and Kyle Shanahan and his father, Mike, were responsible for drafting Cousins out of Michigan State in 2012.
Since his team is winless — instead of, say, 4-1, which isn’t inconceivable when you consider four losses were by three points or fewer — Shanahan can use this year to better evaluate what he’s got on the roster and how he can better position it for the future.
“You’re always carrying two thoughts,” the first-year head coach said Wednesday. “You always want to win right now, but you don’t want to do it at the expense of hurting yourself over time.”
It’s amazing the kind of perspective being under a six-year contract can give an NFL coach. Shanahan was intent on making the most of being 0-5, because it allows him a chance to find out what kind of talent he has on his roster.
“A lot of people can fool you when you’re 5-0. Everybody’s happy, everybody’s perfect. It’s very easy to do everything,” Shanahan said. “When you’re 0-5, a lot of true colors come out with people, and you get to find out the guys you want to go to war with and the guys who are going to be a part of turning this thing around.”
When the 2017 season is done — for the 49ers that will be about 5 p.m. on Dec. 31 — Shanahan and general manager John Lynch http://www.divasta.com/ethan-pocic-jersey-c-1_23.html will have options. Because of their cap space, they could find a franchise quarterback in free agency, and because of their record, an exciting prospect should be available.
“That’s one of the reasons that we were so excited to come here,” Shanahan said, referencing how the team is positioned for the future.

Bobby Wagner, Germain Ifedi show support for ESPN's Jemele Hill
ESPN made a controversial decision on http://www.js-lanhui.com/josh-jones-jersey-c-1_42.html Monday to suspend one of their main talents, Jemele Hill for two weeks and at least, two Seattle Seahawks aren't down with the decision.
(The Seahawks took control of the NFC West with a big road win over the Rams. Don't MISS any updates on highlights, injuries and any other news. Stay informed right along with us -- take five seconds to Sign up for our Free Seahawks newsletter now!)
Linebacker Bobby Wagner and offensive tackle Germain Ifedi both flashed their support for Hill in different ways on Tuesday. For Ifedi, it was a direct approach.
Meanwhile, Wagner was a bit more stealthy electing to retweet this offering from rapper J.Cole.
Wagner also supported Hill through her first controversy when she called out President Donald Trump. After Trump fired a shot at NFL players who kneel during the anthem using curse words, the NFL's most proficient tackler tweeted this.
Hill was suspended on Monday due to violating her network's social media policy for a second time, in regards to wading into political matters. The first was the aforementioned mini-feud with Pres. Trump. On Sunday, she mentioned that the only way for fans to truly voice their displeasure against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, whose organizations both instated anthem policies http://www.packersprosale.com/kenny-clark-jersey-c-1_15.html that require their players to stand, would be to boycott.
ESPN seemingly determined those tweets to be a call to action not sports commentary and suspended one half of their"The Six" anchors.
Count Wagner and Ifedi among those who don't think she did anything wrong.

SURPRISING 3-2 JETS PREPARING TO PLAY PATRIOTS FOR FIRST PLACE
By the time the first half was over, the No. 1 overall pick had taken NY quarterback Josh McCown down twice. But the true test comes http://www.49ersprosale.com/jeremy-kerley-jersey-c-1_14.html Sunday in East Rutherford against the Patriots, a team that handed Bowles and Co. a 41-3 shellacking on Christmas Eve last season at Gillette Stadium.
The Jets have done that the past three weeks, rolling to a dominant victory against Miami and then pulling off close wins against Jacksonville and Cleveland. "They're always good at game planning and preparing for you and what you do and what you do best, and so it'll be a fun challenge". They have played the teams on the schedule and beaten three of them.
Add an 0-2 start to the season and it was easy to associate "tanking" with how the Jets were building for the future. New England has split its last four road games at the Jets, with the two losses coming in overtime and the average margin of victory less than four points.
"You've got to be impressed with what the Jets have done", he said. "It'll be tough this week".
That said, if the two are healthy enough to play, the Jets need them to produce. "We've just got to come out and work on us and play hard and go into the game and try and compete and win". "They're taking a lot of doubles up for everybody else, but there are certain schemes that require different things, and they are doing those different things. It's just the belief and the confidence and the unity was there, and you could feel it", defensive lineman Leonard Williams said on a conference call. Multiple team members have said the lack of sacks is not a concern, but Wilkerson and Williams are simply too good to have that zero on the back of their cards. "All of that is going to start with me". Brady completed 30 of 40 passes for 303 yards, 1 touchdown, and an interception although they were narrowly outgained 402-409, had less 1 down conversions 23-26, but did outrush Tampa Bay 113-90. "And we have to get the penalties down, which keeps hampering us every week, which has to change".
Our Free NFL Prediction: The Patriots defense is still a mess, allowing 47 points in their last 2 games which is 10 points more than the http://www.nemiza.com/james-hanna-jersey-c-1_59.html Jets have allowed in their last 2 games.
The Patriots know that their third win of the season didn't earn them much in the way of style points. "It's early in the week, so we'll see how they progress".
"Look, the refs are trying to do the best they can do".

Don Mancini Breaks Down that Crazy ‘Cult of Chucky’ Ending
Spoiler Warning: This article is about http://www.dantecubed.com/lael-collins-jersey-c-2_56.html the end of Cult of Chucky, so as you might have guessed, there are spoilers all the way through the end of Cult of Chucky.
In the league of horror’s iconic slasher villains, Chucky has endured as a true one-of-a-kind. While the killer doll’s fellow slash MVPs have been rebooted and remade and back again, the Child’s Play franchise has stayed the course with creator Don Mancini behind every script and original actor Brad Dourif voicing the maniacal Good Guy Doll in every film. The trick? Chucky has stayed alive through constant evolution. Be it the setting, the tone, or even the subgenre he’s playing in, Mancini has reinvented what it means to be a part of the franchise with each new movie, adopting an “anything goes” mentality that has fuelled one of the most consistently entertaining, enjoyable, and downright weird horror series of all time.
With Cult of Chucky, the seventh Chucky film to date, Mancini takes things in an even stranger and bolder direction than ever before, especially in the film’s wild third act. Cult of Chucky brings together all the key players from Chucky movies past — Alex Vincent‘s Andy Barclay, Jennifer Tilly‘s Tiffany Valentine, and Fiona Dourif‘s Nica Pierce — under the roof of an insane asylum where Chucky picks off his imprisoned prey and battles his old foes. Well, that’s three Chuckys to be exact. Mancini uses the insane asylum setting to mess with the audience’s head and make a “mind fuck” Chucky movie that keeps the audience guessing what’s real and who’s sane until the big reveal — Nica’s not crazy, there are three different Chuckys on the loose, terrorizing the patients en masse and when they finally meet, it’s an all-time franchise moment.
In anticipation of the film’s release, I recently hopped on the phone with Mancini (read Part 1 of the interview here) and the writer-director http://www.officialcowboysprosale.com/keith-smith-jersey-c-1_55.html explained that the mult-Chucky showdown has been on his mind for a while.
But just because he had the idea for a long time, doesn’t mean it was easy to pull off. As Mancini explained, coordinating three Chuchy puppets on set was a bit of a nightmare — especially because he was still fine-tuning the script while after the start of production.
But because Mancini was still nailing down the scene, they had to flip the script on how they usually film the puppetry sequences, with Mancini himself providing the temporary voice tracks.

What You Might've Missed: Key blocks on big drive
GREEN BAY – A game-winning drive like the http://www.cowboysprostore.com/jourdan-lewis-jersey-c-1_41.html one the Packers put together in Dallas doesn’t happen without a lot of clean execution.
That means it’s not just the four players who touched the ball on the drive – QB Aaron Rodgers, WR Davante Adams, TE Martellus Bennett and RB Aaron Jones – who made it work.
Their teammates threw a number of key blocks along the way, and that’s what this edition of WYMM will cover, along with a couple of other worthwhile snaps from earlier in the game, just for good measure.
But first, from the final drive …
Play No. 1: First-and-10 from the Green Bay 25, fourth quarter, 1:13 left
Result: 14-yard completion to Adams
With the rookie Jones next to him in the backfield, you can see Rodgers before the snap communicate Jones’ assignment on blitz pickup, and Jones similarly points at Cowboys S Byron Jones (31) coming off the edge. Green http://www.0750xsaf.com/justin-gilbert-jersey-c-1_21.html Bay’s Jones does exactly what’s needed, running interference to keep Dallas’ Jones out of Rodgers’ face and create a clear throwing lane for the back-shoulder toss to Adams.

In contrast to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who http://www.cmslamp.com/justin-gilbert-jersey-c-2_38.html has said he will bench players who don’t stand during the national anthem, 49ers CEO Jed York has given his players his support.
That’s according to 49ers safety Eric Reid, who recently had a conversation with York.
Reid said that York has “expressed very clearly that he wants to support us. That he’s not going to force us to do anything. Speaking for our team, that’s what he’s told me explicitly.”
In the latest twist involving the NFL and players who are protesting social injustice by kneeling during the anthem, Commissioner Roger Goodell issued a memo to 32 teams Tuesday in which he encouraged players to stand. Dolphins owner Stephen Ross also has requested that his players stand.
“Like many of our fans, we believe that everyone should stand for the national anthem. It is an important moment in our game,” Goodell wrote. “We want to honor our flag and our country, and our fans expect that of us.”
Goodell said the NFL also plans to review the issue during next week’s fall league meeting in New York. At those meetings, it’s believed the NFL will discuss a rule change in which it requires to players to stand for the anthem.
On Wednesday, the NFL and NFL Players Association released a joint statement noting “there has been no change in the current policy regarding the anthem.”
After President Trump’s harsh criticism of protesting NFL players Sept. 22, the majority of NFL teams issued statements in response and their players locked arms in shows of unity two days later. Owners such as Jones, Jacksonville’s Shad Khan, Washington’s Daniel Snyder, who donated to Trump’s campaign, locked arms with players.
On Wednesday, Reid was asked if he expected the shift in tone from the NFL on the anthem controversy.
“I was hoping that it wouldn’t, but I did http://www.steelersprosale.com/heath-miller-jerseys-c-1_29.html sense that,” Reid said. “They said it was going to be a one-week thing when they did it. I expected it.”
Last year, York matched Colin Kaepernick’s $1 million donation to underserved communities shortly after his landmark anthem protest became public. Last month, York was the third owner to issue a statement in response to Trump, terming his comments “callous and offensive.”
Injury report: Reid (knee) and inside linebacker Reuben Foster (ankle) returned to team drills, although they were limited and head coach Kyle Shanahan has yet to commit to them playing Sunday at Washington.
Fullback Kyle Juszczyk (back) did not practice and eight other players were limited: linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong (shoulder), safety Adrian Colbert (hamstring), defensive tackle D.J. Jones (back), tight end George Kittle (chest), defensive tackle Earl Mitchell (knee), safety Jimmie Ward (shoulder), linebacker Dekoda Watson (groin) and cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon (concussion).

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has had one http://www.steelersprosale.com/garrett-hartley-jerseys-c-1_16.html consistent defender in his corner—at least on Twitter. But now even that has disappeared.
Goodell has come under harsh criticism in recent months over his handling of professional football players kneeling during the national anthem, as well as falling TV ratings and the league’s legal dispute with Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.
One Twitter user, under the account name @forargument, often came to Goodell’s defense on the social media site. It turns out the user was actually his wife Jane Skinner Goodell, the Wall Street Journal uncovered and later confirmed.
Since the social media unmasking, however, the account has been taken down.
Jane Skinner Goodell provided a statement to the WSJ on Thursday, explaining her actions were silly, but done out of frustration and love.
“As a former media member, I’m always bothered when the coverage doesn’t provide a complete and accurate picture of a story,” Goodell said in a written statement sent to WSJ. “I’m also a wife and a mom. I have always passionately defended the hard-working guy I love—and I always will. I just may not use Twitter to do so in the future!”
Earlier this week, Goodell sent a letter to every NFL team calling for an end to the controversy over football players kneeling during the http://www.officialsteelersprosale.com/franco-harris-jerseys-c-1_32.html national anthem. He said the act is threatening to erode the “unifying power” of the game.
Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick began kneeling during the national anthem last year in an action intended to draw attention to police violence against black Americans. The NFL protest has escalated this season with players across the league choosing to kneel before or during the anthem.

Film Room: Javon Hargrave Effective Against The Run Despite Overall Chaos
Who wants to hear about the performance http://www.authenticsteelerssales.com/james-harrison-jersey-c-1_25.html of a nose tackle in the run game on a day on which the Pittsburgh Steelers defense allowed the Jaguars to rush for over 200 yards? Well, hopefully there are at least a few, because today I want to take a look at some of the work that Javon Hargrave did on Sunday.
What struck me when looking at the stat sheet after the game is that the second-year nose tackle was credited with no fewer than 10 tackles. While the majority of them were assists, it shows how active he was against the run—which was aided by the fact that the team actually stayed in the 3-4 front quite a bit.
Hargrave was credit with a number of run stops, including one early in the game, about five minutes into the second quarter. With the Jaguars facing a second and seven, the Steelers countered a 21 look with their 3-4 over front, the nose tackle tilted over the left shoulder of the center.
The line tried to stretch right, but Hargrave was too http://www.divasta.com/jermaine-kearse-jersey-c-1_44.html quick for the left guard, first cutting off the cutback lane, then chasing down Leonard Fournette for no gain when he had nowhere else to go

In the galleries: Ghostly presences at the Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery
The exhibition “Apparitions,” at the http://www.aescranna.com/michael-bennett-jersey-c-1_31.html Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery, takes its title from Craig Cahoon’s wispy abstraction in watery silver paint on Mylar. His “Apparition” is barely there, yet gains power from the effort needed to apprehend it. The piece, hushed and beguiling, is typical of this elegant show.
“Apparitions” is 80-year-old curator Elise Wiarda’s farewell, after 17 years, to the healing center associated with the Hisaoka gallery. Before that, she worked at the now-defunct Fendrick Gallery. Wiarda enlisted 15 friends, including such eminent local artists as Joe White, Sam Gilliam and Kitty Klaidman.
Not all of the art is ghostly, but most of it features spare gestures and subdued palettes. The most colorful piece is White’s “Gulf island (Canada),” a large landscape painted entirely in white and shades of light and grayish blue. Gilliam, known as a grand-scale colorist, offers a minimalist miniature that’s all white resin and blond wood. It’s as quiet as Klaidman’s topographic abstraction, whose worn hues suggest earth and erosion.
There’s an Asian feel to works on paper such as Margot Neuhaus’s “Line #2” and Daniel Brush’s “Komachi.” The former uses light gray watercolor to trace part of a swoop made by ripping the sheet. The latter (whose title is http://www.js-lanhui.com/lane-taylor-jersey-c-1_17.html a Japanese term for a beautiful woman) appears to be a single brushstroke but is actually hundreds of contiguous black lines. Each one is painstakingly drawn and utterly solid, but their overall effect is ephemeral.
