FOXBORO -- Devin McCourty stepped to the http://www.js-lanhui.com/jacob-schum-jersey-c-1_13.html Gillette Stadium podium in a t-shirt that read: "No place for racism, sexism, fascism, hate." What followed was his explanation why he and his Patriots teammates felt like a silent demonstration during the national anthem was the best way to convey a message of unity following president Donald Trump's remarks during a rally Friday night.
McCourty was one of more than a dozen players on the Patriots sideline to kneel for the anthem. Others, including Tom Brady, stood and linked arms during the singing of the Star Spangled Banner.
McCourty explained that Saturday was an emotional day for him and his teammates as they tried to determine how best to react to Trump's http://www.packersprosale.com/david-bakhtiari-jersey-c-1_10.html comments, which referred to players kneeling during the anthem as "sons of bitches" who should lose their jobs.
It was a complicated decision, McCourty said.

Locals in the NFL: Eric Weddle and Bobby Wagner have highlight reel games
SALT LAKE CITY — Utah’s defensive http://www.49ersprosale.com/jerry-rice-jersey-c-1_18.html players were on show in Week 2 of the NFL season. Eric Weddle and Bobby Wagner both make highlight reel interceptions in wins for their teams. Alex Smith continues to impress in his win against the Eagles, only missing seven passes for the game. Garett Bolles goes down with an injury and is carted off the field to a standing ovation. His X-rays come back negative for an Achilles tear.
Eric Weddle (Utah):
Weddle is in his 11th season in the NFL and still showing he has a lot left in his tank. Weddle was let go by the Chargers two years ago, when they felt he was on the decline of his career. The Baltimore Ravens were happy to pick up the four-time pro bowl and two-time All-Pro safety to help their already daunting defense.
Sunday's game against Cleveland showed that Weddle hasn't yet started to decline. Weddle had a total four tackles for the game against the Browns and one athletic, diving interception. The interception came with 30 seconds left in the first quarter, with Cleveland driving to tie the game at seven. The Browns were on the Ravens 26-yard line http://www.nemiza.com/geoff-swaim-jersey-c-1_56.html when the Browns ran a screen pass that got tipped in the air by the receiver. Weddle was able to locate the ball in the air and dive, one-handed, for the interception.

Damarious Randall, Quinten Rollins fail big test vs. Falcons
Green Bay Packers cornerbacks Damarious http://www.dantecubed.com/emmitt-smith-jersey-c-2_10.html Randall and Quinten Rollins can have a pass for last January’s NFC title game.
They won’t get one for Sunday night’s defeat.
Both are finally healthy after suffering through nightmare second seasons plagued by lingering injury, but the two young cornerbacks were still picked on early and late by Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons in a 34-23 loss at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The end result was a secondary that wasn’t good enough again in Atlanta.
The Falcons went right after Randall, hitting receiver Julio Jones for completions of 19 yards and 34 yards with No. 23 trailing in coverage on the first drive. On the first, Randall slipped right off the back of Jones as he broke the tackle and motored upfield. Two plays later, Randall allowed Jones a free release to the inside and inevitably gave up a deep crosser that wasn’t contested.
Later in the first half, Rollins was the scapegoat for another Falcons’ touchdown drive. On 3rd-and-12, he was late to recognize the http://www.officialcowboysprosale.com/daryl-johnston-jersey-c-1_17.html Falcons’ route combination and left Jones all alone underneath, and he compounded the mistake by missing the tackle and allowing Jones to rumble past the marker and pick up the first down.

Atlanta’s New Era Opens in the Shadow of a Collapse
Hors d’oeuvres are being served in the http://www.cowboysprostore.com/deion-sanders-jersey-c-1_53.html private Gallery Room, up the winding, carpet-lined stairs at the tony 21 Club in midtown Manhattan. It’s 7 p.m. on a balmy summer evening and cocktail hour has just begun. Trays of grilled chicken, Caprese salad and Swedish meatballs are proffered by genteel men in immaculate black suits, red wine and whiskey handed out from behind a wood-paneled bar. Chandeliers dangle overhead. The dress code is formal. The mood, hopeful.
This is stop No. 1 on the Atlanta Falcons Image Rehabilitation tour, where two dozen media members were invited to attend what was billed as an “intimate, on-the-record chat” with team officials about the franchise’s direction and the grand opening of its much-hyped new stadium. Few NFL teams have ever felt the need to gather reporters in the offseason, feed them, booze them, schmooze them, and let them know that all is going great. But then again, no team has ever experienced the collapse, the national embarrassment, that the Falcons did in Houston last February. Especially not at such a critical juncture in franchise history, when everything really was going great, better than ever before. Until it wasn’t.
In 2016, the Falcons—a franchise that had long settled into its middling position in the NFL hierarchy, right in the meaty part of the curve—seemed ready to ascend to new heights. They were on the precipice of gaining entry into an exclusive club, one of enduring excellence and sustained prominence, the top tier of NFL franchises. Then, 28-3 happened, and everything came crashing down, the collapse of a Jenga tower only with the whole world watching. And now here we are, upstairs at the 21 Club, fancy finger http://www.0750xsaf.com/jack-lambert-jersey-c-1_4.html food being passed around and the franchise attempting to make it very clear that the tower did not actually collapse, not fully at least, that the foundation that they built their resurgence upon is still in tact and that they plan to continue to build on top of it, 28-3 be damned.
Team owner Arthur Blank, president Rich McKay, chief executive officer Steve Cannon, general manager Thomas Dimitroff and head coach Dan Quinn circumnavigate the Gallery Room. They shake hands and offer pleasantries, thanking those present for being present. A dozen infographics, printed on poster boards and sitting on tripod stands, are scattered about. They each tout different aspects of the soon-to-be-debuted Mercedes-Benz Stadium—Construction and Design; Food and Beverage—and are filled with facts that will double as talking points throughout the evening.

Prescott’s out-of-pocket play was far bigger than his statistics in Arizona win
Dak Prescott didn’t have his best http://www.steelersprosale.com/garrett-hartley-jerseys-c-1_16.html game from a numbers standpoint.
He threw for fewer than 200 yards for the fourth time and had the second-fewest completions (13) of his career in a game in which he started and finished.
In the locker room, though, it seemed as though Prescott had a career day in leading the Dallas Cowboys to a 28-17 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
Running back Ezekiel Elliott called him an “animal.” Tight end Jason Witten mentioned his “grit.” Wide receiver Dez Bryant referred to him as “the man.”
And coach Jason Garrett raved about how his “mental toughness is off the charts.
Prescott was impressive even if the box score doesn’t suggest it at first glance.
Prescott and Elliott were under intense scrutiny going into Monday’s game in how they would respond after being humbled by the Denver Broncos 42-17 the previous week.
Both passed, particularly Prescott, who showcased his ability to make things happen out of the pocket.
Prescott and the offense got off to a slow start with consecutive three-and-out possessions. At the 2-minute warning in the opening half, Prescott had 12 passing yards.
But he connected with rookie Noah Brown for a 13-yard gain, and then took it in himself from the Arizona 10 on a run off right tackle. All http://www.officialsteelersprosale.com/franco-harris-jerseys-c-1_32.html Prescott had to do to get in the end zone was somersault over a couple Cardinals defenders and into the end zone.
“A number of the plays that Dak made he’s shaking some guy off to get in space, or he’s throwing the ball on the run with somebody coming right at him, and I think that run was indicative of that,” Garrett said. “He’s a great competitor. He’s a physical player.”
That provided a much-needed spark for what had been a lackadaisical game for the Cowboys and evened the score at 7-7 going into halftime.
Elliott, known for his hurdling abilities, gave Prescott an “A-plus” on the somersault.
“I think a lot of other quarterbacks right there just would’ve slid and leave the ball at the 2-yard line,” Elliott said. “Just him showing how important it was to get in there and make that play, putting his health on the line, meant a lot to us.”
Prescott kept it going in the second half, leading the Cowboys Jack Lambert Kids Jersey on three touchdown drives and showing off his ability to hit his receivers downfield on the run.

In The Trenches: Chaz Green Impressive In Left Guard Debut (Film Review)
Nothing divided Dallas Cowboys fans http://www.divasta.com/kevin-pierrelouis-jersey-c-1_33.html this offseason quite like the discussion around this year’s starting left guard. Some argued that La’el Collins shouldn’t have been moved to tackle, while others thought free agent and former first round pick Jonathan Cooper was the answer.
Others were Team Chaz Green, believing he was the best option to move inside the left guard out of the three.
The coaching staff ended up siding with Green, starting him last Sunday night and rendering Cooper inactive. Green has faced a lot of criticism throughout his young career, specifically due to his inability to remain healthy for either of his two seasons.
After his performance Sunday night, it is clear that as long as the injury bug doesn’t bite him this year, he is the best option to start at left guard.
Let’s take a look at the film and analyze how Green played a little deeper.
Something I was worried about with Green at guard http://www.aescranna.com/jon-ryan-jersey-c-1_48.html was combo blocks between he and center Travis Frederick. Frederick hasn’t had much work with Green on his left side, especially since Green missed a solid chunk of the preseason and training camp.
An offensive line must work as a unit, especially in a zone blocking scheme such as the Cowboys’. If one member is even a step behind the others the entire play can be blown up.
This play comes on the first drive of the game. Dallas is in 11 personnel and running outside (or wide) zone to the right side. While it is a zone play, meaning that each linemen isn’t explicitly assigned a “man” to block, Green and Frederick are still responsible for the nose tackle and the first linebacker which comes across the center’s track.
So, Green and Frederick must work a combo block, with Green overtaking the nose and Frederick getting to the second level. As you can see, there aren’t many problems on this rep. Green takes over the nose and buries him, as Frederick shakes Kenny Clark Womens Jersey free and cuts off the backside second level defender.

Shortly after his fourth-quarter interception http://www.packersprosale.com/jamaal-williams-jersey-c-1_42.html in the Chiefs’ 27-20 win over Philadelphia on Sunday, Chris Jones turned toward veteran teammate Justin Houston and did something you might not expect:
He challenged him.
“I need one –– I need a sack from you,” Jones told Houston, playfully.
He did this purposely. Jones, 23, might be young, but he’s already been around long enough to know that no challenge to Houston, the Chiefs’ 28-year-old All-Pro pass rusher, goes unheeded.
“50 is one of those players you can’t go up to and be like ‘I need you to do this,’” said Jones, a second-year defensive end. “Because he’ll do it and be like ‘What now?”
That’s exactly what happened, too, as Houston sacked Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz on Philadelphia’s next drive, which led to a three-and-out that helped the Chiefs pull away.
It was an example of the way the Chiefs’ ramped-up defensive line, which terrorized Wentz and New England quarterback Tom Brady during a 2-0 start, has fed off each other.
“Oh we have fun, we compete –– that’s what we do,” Houston said. “We play for each other, this is all about each other. Every time we put on our Chiefs helmet, that’s who we play for.”
The Chiefs, who sacked Wentz six times Sunday, are second in the NFL with nine sacks, a stat that becomes even more impressive because they have http://www.49ersprosale.com/joe-staley-jersey-c-1_19.html primarily used four- and three-man rushes, not their most complex blitzes.
“We’re doing some different things with the defensive ends and varying it, but when four are coming we’re pretty tough,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. “And then we’re coming off a six-sack game so that’s not a bad day.”
And while Jones received most of the recognition with three sacks and the interception, Houston consistently set the edge against the run and snuffed out quick passes when asked to drop in coverage.
“Justin really had one of his better games,” Reid said.
Houston –– a four-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro –– accounted for five tackles, five stops and a pass deflection against Philadelphia. For the season, he’s totaled 10 tackles and ranks second in the league with three sacks and with six hurries.
“We’ve got the players that, in any game, can wreck the game –– we’ve got those players across the board,” said fellow outside linebacker Dee Ford, who also had a sack Sunday. “When 50’s in the game, you already know what’s up, it’s just what it is. You can’t do too much to his side.”
Houston celebrated each play he made against the Eagles with particular vigor, slapping hands and hopping around. Teammates can tell how Matt Barkley Youth Jersey pumped up “50” –– Houston’s nickname in the locker room, which matches his jersey number –– is to be back.

Steelers packages without Bell are favors to opponents
Let’s tap the brakes on all of this Le’Veon Bell isn’t going to be on the field because the Steelers are going to use more four receiver sets stuff.
The Steelers used that package a handful of http://www.nemiza.com/dak-prescott-jersey-c-1_32.html times last Sunday against the Cleveland Browns with Jesse James, not Bell, on the field.
And now, suddenly, we’re seeing stories that it’s going to become a “staple” of the Steelers offense.
Hardly.
The Steelers are going to put their best 11 offensive players on the field as this season progresses. On no planet or any alternative universe will that 11 include James and not Bell.
So, while the Steelers might, indeed, use four receivers on the field more this season, they will be much more likely to do so with Bell on the field.
Last Sunday was more about the “consequences” head coach Mike Tomlin talked about in training camp when asked what would happen to Bell when he returned.
The Steelers had practiced that set in training camp and the offseason. They had done so without Bell..
But as Bell gets his sea legs under him - which could be as soon as this week given how he looked in the fourth quarter against the Browns - he will be on the field more than the 73 percent of the snaps he was in that game.
@ Seriously, any time you’re taking Bell off the field to keep James on it, you’re doing the opposing team a big favor.
@ Bud Dupree said Wednesday that he expects http://www.dantecubed.com/jourdan-lewis-jersey-c-2_15.html to be back this week against Minnesota.
We’ll see.
Given his limited participation in practice Wednesday, he’d better be a full participant Thursday and Friday if he wants that to be the case.
@ The Steelers had seven men on the list for consideration for the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced Wednesday,
They included Alan Faneca, Hines Ward, Joey Porter, Greg Lloyd, Gary Anderson, Bill Cowher and Buddy Parker.
Of that list, Faneca and Cowher are shoe-ins at some point. It could even happen for Faneca this year.
The next guy up, in my opinion, is probably Parker.
Parker? Yep.
This is a guy who, in long stretches with Detroit and Pittsburgh, two also rans in the 1950s and 1960s, had winners in both places. In fact, he led Detroit to its only NFL Championship.
Ward, Porter, Lloyd and Anderson were all great players. But they’re not getting in anytime soon, if at all.
Ward might have the best case. But by the time the voters get around to putting in the other receivers who should go in ahead of him, Ward won’t even be the Steelers all-time receptions leader any longer.
Antonio Brown should pass him in DeMarcus Ware Kids Jersey the next three seasons - if not two.

Kevin Cramer blames Democrats for Republicans not being able to repeal Obamacare
Rep. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., blamed http://www.cowboysprostore.com/chris-jones-jersey-c-1_19.html Senate Democrats for Republicans' inability to pass a bill overhauling Obamacare, saying they're "unified in their opposition" to working on a fix to the 2010 healthcare law.
"In my view, I think you have to blame whoever votes no, and that's every Democrat," Cramer told MSNBC on Tuesday. "Forty-eight Democrats, let's not forget. They're unified in their opposition to a fix for Obamacare. They're unified in their support for continuing the devastation of Obamacare."
Democrats hold 46 seats in the Senate, but two Independent senators caucus with the Democrats.
Senate Republicans are taking another stab at passing a bill overhauling Obamacare and are expected to vote on a proposal from Republican Sens. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina this week. But already, Republican Sens. John McCain of Arizona, Susan Collins of Maine, and Rand Paul of Kentucky http://www.0750xsaf.com/lc-greenwood-jersey-c-1_15.html have said they oppose the bill, leaving it short of the votes needed for it to pass.
Despite the opposition from the three Republican senators, Cramer said there's still a chance the Graham-Cassidy bill passes.
"This isn't over yet. Rand Paul still has an opportunity to play Franco Harris, while Mitch McConnell has the opportunity to play Terry Bradshaw, and he can still catch that Hail Mary pass in the end zone, so the game's not over," the North Dakota Republican said, referencing the Immaculate Reception in 1972.
Cramer also said Democrats need to be held responsible for their unwillingness to work across the aisle.
"They are unanimous in their opposition to helping us fix it," he said. "Yes, there are also three Republicans that are at this point, at least Justin Hunter Youth Jersey two for sure, that oppose it, but every Democrat opposes it and we can't let them off the hook."

Mulleavy Sisters Debut First Film at 'Woodshock' Premiere
New York Fashion Week may have ended over http://www.divasta.com/michael-bennett-jersey-c-1_16.html the weekend, but there was a sequel of sorts in Los Angeles on Monday night when stylish sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy — co-founders of the fashion label Rodarte — rocked looks from their collection at the premiere of their directorial debut, Woodshock.
Similarly clad in head-to-toe Rodarte (in a preview of spring-summer 2018) and accessorized with a baby’s breath floral garland in her hair, the movie’s star, Kirsten Dunst, joined them on the red carpet outside the ArcLight Hollywood. Vogue’s Lisa Love was also on hand to dispel assumptions that the Mulleavys are merely following in the footsteps of designer-turned-director Tom Ford: “I don’t think they follow anyone,” she said of the siblings. “They’re individuals, and they are visionaries.”
Co-star Steph DuVall made comparisons to another famed directing duo who happen to be related: “I don’t know that I would say they’re the new Coen brothers, but I think they have something to offer that is just as valuable as what the Coen brothers have,” he said of the sisters. “And in a way, even more so, because they’re more conceptual.”
For one thing, they share similarly perfectionist tendencies behind the camera. “They were completely, like, 'Let’s do 54 takes of this scene,'” recalled Susan Traylor, who plays Dunst’s mother in the movie. “But I loved it so much — they’re willing to try things, and I love directors who work that way. They seemed like very sophisticated filmmakers to me.”
For Dunst, Mulleavy’s distinct feminist sensibility was the main appeal of this project. “They’ve always had their own lane artistically,” Dunst told The Hollywood Reporter. “They have such a unique voice, and it’s apparent in this film that we need more female directors. This movie is all about being inside a woman’s head,” she said of the film, which is less of a linear story and more like a dark but fashionable fever dream about the Northern California redwoods, weed and the isolating nature of grief. (As for Dunst’s own directorial aspirations — she had been in talks to helm The Bell Jar starring her fiancé and Fargo co-star Jesse Plemons — the actress said, “It’s not happening now, sadly.”)
Dunst’s relationship with the designers dates back to 2004, when she surprised the sisters by selecting three Rodarte dresses for the Spider-Man 2 press tour. “She was the first actress to wear our clothes,” said Kate. But was Sofia Coppola jealous when the Mulleavys borrowed her longtime muse for something much bigger than a http://www.aescranna.com/marshawn-lynch-jersey-c-1_28.html fashion campaign? “No! We love Sofia,” said Kate. “One of the great things about Kirsten is that she’s done work that lives up — years later you look back and she’s in the movies you remember from the time period. So for us, it’s a celebration to work with her.” Added Laura: “Part of what makes Kirsten amazing is her legacy with Sofia, and we’re such fans of it.”
Likewise, they admit to being longtime fans of Ford. “Tom’s such an amazing designer — and filmmaker,” said Kate. “When we were just starting out, he was someone we would look to in terms of admiration for all of his incredible talent, but Laura and I are very free. We didn’t train to be designers. Our career in fashion just went very quickly from the beginning.”
She continued: “People who came to our shows would always say, ‘It’s like a film.’ They would have an emotional connection to them. So the leap was natural, but also Laura and I aren’t afraid of trying new things and for us as creative people, we want to grow. I think we have more and more to say and we’re trying to figure out a new way to say those things.”
Their biggest inspiration, as it turns out, may be Darren Aronofsky — the sisters served as costume designers on 2010's Black Swan and outfitted Natalie Portman in the iconic looks that helped to land her an Oscar. “It was the first time I went onto a film set,” said Kate. “I said, ‘I have to do this.’ I remember thinking that, so in some way, it probably informed getting to where we are now.”
Following the premiere, which drew a quirky-chic crowd of friends and fans — such as performance artist Miranda July and Rodarte-clad ingenues like Tessa Thompson (Westworld) and Rowan Blanchard (Girl Meets World), as well as the Mulleavys' mom and dad — guests Ubered over to the Chateau Marmont for a late-night snack of mini-burgers and bubbly in Bungalow One. Naturally, Plemons made the chic soiree (the actor opted for jeans and a baseball cap, of course, only because Rodarte has yet to spawn a Nick Perry Jersey menswear line) and the party turned into a romantic date night for the couple. Love was obviously in the air for Dunst and her fiance, and as all eyes were on the doting duo, everyone felt the earth move thanks to a 3.6 magnitude quake that struck Los Angeles just before midnight.

The Warrior Blue third grade football team faced http://www.packersprosale.com/lane-taylor-jersey-c-1_2.html a tough opponent, Darien, on a balmy day this past Saturday at Fujitani Field.
The tone was set early by the Warriors’ defense, with Keegan Kazan making two tackles on a three-and-out Darien drive, followed by a fumble recovery on the next drive. On offense, led by the cool hand of quarterback Colin Faherty, the Warriors scored on a big touchdown run from Nick Skillen.
The offensive line, anchored by center Michael Lenz along with linemen Matthew Fogarty, August Furman, Noah Patania, Trey Hall, Michael Duarte and Wyatt Hoffstatter, provided solid blocking all day.
Those same players on offense also were the backbone of a defense, along with Sawyer Fasano, Hayden Leitten and Kayden Kazan, that allowed zero points the entire game. Denny Dustin and Nick Skillen had a fumble recovery each as the game progressed.
Wilton Blue players showed toughness and versatility on both sides of the ball. Denny Dustin, Emmett Sommer and Try Hall all contributed powerful runs late in the game to kill the clock to cement a 7-0 victory.
Wilton White won a hard fought game on Saturday night against a tough Westport squad, advancing their record to 2-1. Wilton’s defense was solid on the day despite one long TD run, holding Westport to only a handful of first downs in the game.
Wilton’s ‘D’ line, led by Henry Snow, Wyatt Kreter, Jaxon Lin and Andrew Zareski, held strong all game, allowing Cody Korpan (including a forced fumble) and Charlie Heffernan to make a number of big tackles. Mark Sylvester and Liam Pierson also contributed to the strong defensive effort and Trey Rivera made a huge tackle late in the fourth quarter to keep Westport off the scoreboard.
Offensively, key blocking by Cooper Rekow, Mark http://www.49ersprosale.com/rashard-robinson-jersey-c-1_13.html Whitman and Cole Herbst helped open up holes all day for the offense. Behind lead blocker Dylan Flanagan at fullback, Declan Jackson (with punishing long runs leading to first downs) and Brady Corry (two touchdowns) found success in the running game.
In the first quarter, Blake Ongley ran one in for a touchdown behind great blocking from the offensive line of Charlie Roy, Max Totten, Hunter Lishnoff, Quint Furman, Grant Stein and Ellie Smith. Later in the first quarter, Charlie Calabrese ran it 25 yards for the Warriors’ second touchdown. The first quarter ended with Jake Padilla making a big interception.

I started coaching wrestling at Beckley-Stratton (Middle School) in '98. Then I coached football at Beckley from '98 until about 2009. Then I took a little sabbatical there. I coached one year at Park after that and a couple of years at Beckley-Stratton. I've been the head wrestling coach http://www.dantecubed.com/rico-gathers-jersey-c-2_18.html at Woodrow since 2006.
R-H: Then you got the football job last year.
SS: Yeah. I went back as an assistant with coach (John H.) Lilly for a year. He stepped down, and that was a surprise to me. I never dreamed I would have the opportunity to apply for the job in my lifetime. They've only had so many coaches in the years of the school. But I was just fortunate enough to apply and make it through the process, and get hired as the head football coach.

Always there: Joe Thomas nears 'insane' milestone of 10,000 straight snaps
But if he lasts just four plays in Sunday's http://www.officialcowboysprosale.com/james-hanna-jersey-c-1_59.html game against the Baltimore Ravens (note: jinxes begone), he'll hit a consecutive snaps milestone that the Cleveland Browns say is unprecedented.
Thomas' fourth snap will be his 10,000th straight play on offense. The standout Browns left tackle has not missed a play since he was the third overall pick in the 2007 draft. Through losing and quarterback changes and more losing and more quarterback changes, Thomas has been the Browns' Gibraltar -- immense, solid and always there.
"I will now hold my breath 10,000 times," his wife, Annie, said this week.
In its essence, what Thomas has done is show up every day for work. Through sore throats, bad days, bad knees, headaches, not feeling well or not feeling into it, Thomas has come to work and done his job and done it well. He is recognized and respected, as Cal Ripken Jr. was when he set baseball's consecutive-games streak: Thomas works every day, and he works at a high level. As he said Thursday: "I guess I'm just a guy that tries to show up and do his job every day."
"It's still insane to me that after all of these years he's never missed a snap," Annie Thomas said. "It's just a testament to the man he is: reliable, dedicated, and mentally and physically tough."
She puts it as well as anyone, probably because she knows him as well as anyone. But this week a variety of other people who know Thomas spoke about his career, which has seen him go to the Pro Bowl in each of his first 10 seasons while playing for a team that has had one winning season and gone 48-113 since he was drafted. Teammates, former teammates, coaches, former coaches … all used the same superlatives. But when some of the greats of the game heard of the upcoming 10,000th snap, they were stopped cold.
"Damn," Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs said. "That is legit. That is pretty amazing, especially in this league. It is a physical league for his position. That is a pretty awesome milestone, accomplishment."
"At tackle ... that is unbelievable," New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees said.
"It's incredible," New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said. "For him to do it, he's obviously had a lot of regimes and he's been http://www.cowboysprostore.com/jeff-heath-jersey-c-1_26.html such a remarkable player. A consistent elite performer. He's been to so many Pro Bowls, came out really highly touted, and he's just played at a Pro Bowl level almost every single year. That's a tough position to play all those snaps. But he does it. It's really a credit to him."
One man provided the exception to the thinking: Arizona Cardinals tight ends coach Steve Heiden, who was a teammate of Thomas when he was a rookie.
"It doesn't surprise me at all; I think he was probably the most prepared player I've seen come in as a rookie," Heiden said.
LeCharles Bentley, the former Browns and Saints center, called Thomas "a football unicorn." (Rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer, the Browns' starter, used the same word.)
Bentley knows offensive linemen. He runs an academy in Phoenix where he scouts and trains and develops them. At one point Bentley was headed toward being Thomas' teammate, but he ruptured his patella tendon on the first day of training camp in 2006. The injury showed the vagaries of NFL life, and what Thomas has avoided.
Bentley said there's nobody like Thomas and it's unfair to compare him to other tackles because Thomas does things no other tackle can do. He's not the biggest or the strongest or the fastest, but he might be the smartest and wisest. He plays angles and tendencies, using preparation and smarts along with athletic ability.
Thomas talked a few years ago about always knowing the opposing player's signature move. He said at a key point in the game, the opponent will go to that move, and if Thomas is prepared he can stop it. Against Dwight Freeney, Thomas always knew the spin move would arise on a key play.
Last season against San Diego, Thomas faced rookie Joey Bosa, who was a bit of a sensation. Bosa likes to drive upfield and then reverse to Rocky Bleier Youth Jersey get the tackle off balance. When he tried it against Thomas, the veteran was waiting for Bosa like it was a receiving line.
"Joe has reached an all-time level of amazing that's yet to be identified," Bentley said.

Which Cowboys are inactive vs. Cardinals? A surprising pass rusher won't be playing vs. Arizona
The Cowboys have announced their inactive http://www.0750xsaf.com/mike-mitchell-jersey-c-1_66.html players ahead of tonight's game at Arizona.
Quarterback Cooper Rush, defensive end Charles Tapper, running back Darren McFadden, guard Jonathan Cooper and linebacker Anthony Hitchens joined cornerbacks Chidobe Awuzie and Nolan Carroll as the seven players inactive against the Cardinals.
Rush has been active through three weeks as Kellen Moore remains Dak Prescott's backup quarterback. The same goes for McFadden, as Alfred Morris backs up Ezekiel Elliott. Hitchens (knee), Awuzie (hamstring) and Carroll (concussion) are recovering.
Tapper was a surprise scratch after the pass rusher recorded a sack in the opening week vs. the New York Giants. The ex-Oklahoma star returned to play this year after missing all of 2016 due to a congenital back issue found during his rookie training camp.
Rookie defensive end Taco Charlton, the Cowboys' first-round draft pick this year, remained active for the game as Damontre Moore returned from his suspension. The Cowboys will receive yet another pass rusher back ahead of the Oct. 8 Green Bay matchup as DE David Irving returns from his four-game PED suspension after a failed http://www.cmslamp.com/lc-greenwood-jersey-c-2_58.html drug test.
Irving's best game last year came against the Packers. He had four tackles, a sack, three forced fumbles and a pass deflection in Green Bay in October.

- There are four reasons why Dak Prescott is a http://www.steelersprosale.com/javon-hargrave-jerseys-c-1_86.html franchise quarterback. He is never overwhelmed in big moments. Now, that was a big moment last night. He is a cool, calm customer.
He has the arm-legs combo. Not the best legs and not the best arm, but a B-plus with both. He is level-headed. He is coachable. He adjusts the game plans. Take away his star, he'll go somewhere else.
And here's another thing, and the great ones rarely beat themselves. Dak faced a lot of pressure. 15 in 19 of his starts, he hasn't had a turnover. We get too caught up in results. Atlanta is 3-0. Atlanta was beat by Detroit and Chicago, OK? You're staring at the results.
Green Bay, unbeaten. Well, Seattle's not very good. And Cincinnati throttled you for three quarters. Green Bay has got no running game. They are lacking a key component to a Super Bowl. They don't have a running game. Green Bay has http://www.officialsteelersprosale.com/jack-lambert-jerseys-c-1_28.html no running game. They're not winning the Super Bowl.
If you get paralyzed by a result, you think "Guardians of the Galaxy" is a great movie. No, it's not. But the results are you can sell that thing. "Shawshank Redemption" is a great movie, didn't make any money at the box office.

Area United Way event encourages actions to overcome racial divisions
HUNTINGTON — Community leaders http://www.aescranna.com/patrick-kerney-jersey-c-1_4.html and local experts on race relations spoke Tuesday at St. Mary's Medical Center for Education to encourage a group of about 50 people to start taking action against racism instead of just talking about it.
The gathering was the fourth installment of a United Way of the River Cities conversation series called "Together We Rise," which ended in March but was brought back following the death of one person at a white nationalist rally last month in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Ten speakers appealed to audience members' ethics, emotion and logic at the meeting, sharing sociological research, personal stories and statistics. They also broke out with the audience into discussion groups to tackle difficult subject matter and propose solutions to removing racism in our institutional and structural social framework, such as racial discrimination in public education and the criminal-justice system.
"The whole idea primarily is to give people the chance to talk to each other about a topic that's uncomfortable in a safe space," said Laura Gilliam, executive director of United Way. "For me personally it's important, but our organization is also a real advocate of this type of discussion and … working together at a community level."
Performance artist and educator Mitzi Sinnott, First Baptist Church pastor Donte Jackson and Rubberlite Inc. President Alan Letton introduced the topic of discussion. Lawyer Abe Saad offered statistical evidence for racism in the criminal justice system, while Sandra Clements and Justin Murdock, members of Mayor Steve Williams' Committee on Diversity and Inclusion, discussed what the city government is doing to fight racism.
"The city of Huntington is not inclusive," said http://www.js-lanhui.com/ricky-jeanfrancois-jersey-c-1_20.html Clements, who is black. "If I go to St. Joe and I sit in a pew, nobody else sits on the pew. Today."
Murdock talked about a campaign he started on the mayor's LGBT Advisory Committee to have local businesses promote their acceptance of diversity, a simple sticker that indicates to customers that they are "open to all."
"You come to this store, you walk in — regardless of your race, disability, gender, sexual orientation, this business has publicly stated, 'We want your business,'" Murdock said. "Simply put, that's what this campaign is about: 'I don't care if you like me or not. I just want you to treat me the same as you treat all your other customers.'"
Marshall University Professor Burnis Morris talked about what "The Mis-Education of the Negro" by Carter G. Woodson contributes to the modern discussion about race in the education system, while Jess Maynard of West Virginia's Showing Up for Racial Justice group talked about white privilege. Del. Sean Hornbuckle, D-Cabell, also spoke.
Ron L. James, author and co-founder of the Your Choice Foundation in York, Pennsylvania, closed out the event with a message about receiving gifts. He told The Herald-Dispatch one of the greatest gifts he ever received was a poem from his mother: "Good, better, best. May you never rest until the good gets better and the better best."
"She saw something in me that I didn't see in myself," James said, noting racism will persist like his drug problems and the low esteem he had for himself if people don't look past the problems it poses for solutions. "She was able to Morgan Burnett Kids Jersey see through that and still see something in me that was worth value."

JuJu Smith-Schuster Channels Inner Hines Ward Sunday
Real quick post because the clip I’m http://www.49ersprosale.com/solomon-thomas-jersey-c-1_27.html about to show is worth 1000 words. JuJu Smith-Schuster has been compared to Hines Ward since being drafted. He spent training camp standing by his side throughout practice and working with him after. That experience seemed to rub off on him Sunday.
Against the Vikings, JuJu absolutely decleated safety Harrison Smith on this run.
He may have scored his first touchdown Sunday but this was the play of the day. That touchdown, by the way, makes him the youngest player http://www.officialcowboysprosale.com/jeff-heath-jersey-c-1_68.html to record a touchdown (passing, catching, or rushing) since 1968. He’ll turn 21 in late November.
JuJu Smith-Ward? I think so.
